"I have been working with Bobby for the past eleven years. I have come to find that when it comes to work, Bobby is very tough and hard. He is a kindhearted person, who understands, respects, and treats us equally despite our education level, where we come from and our ethnic backgrounds. Bobby is a great instructor and trainer. He dislikes dishonesty, stealing, fighting among workers, conflict of interest with coffee customers and bribery. Bobby has a strong influence and emphasis every day at the factory on Safety rules, wearing PPE, respecting each other, and there is a lot more that we have learnt from our boss Bobby Corotan."
"As an HR Officer working within the company, I will define Bobby as a “Man of all Trades”. Bobby can do work from the Management level to administrative duties, to technical work down to operating a Forklift. He has a character with strong moral principles and believes strongly in honesty and fairness. Bobby is a manager but at the same time he can be just a normal employee, who drives a forklift or cleans and dusts the factory during coffee season and off coffee season. He treats all employees equally, regardless of gender, race or living background."
"Working with Bobby for the past eleven years, I have come to see that he is a very committed and dedicated person, who puts his heart and soul into the company and does everything to see the company produce more and be successful. He is always on call 24-7 when there is a break down at the Factory, regardless of what time it is – Bobby will be there. He is hardworking and tough at times especially when it is the peak coffee season. Safety procedures are one of his strongest points. When we go down to the Factory, we all must be in our proper PPEs to enter the factory. Overall, Bobby is a great team leader, and his performance is outstanding. Therefore, we have nominated him to be our Integrity Champion for this year 2023! "
You have a great colleague, who is very upright and doing an excellent job? Please do not hesitate to let us know, we would love to hear about it! You can either nominate your colleague writing an e-mail to compliance@nkg.coffee or talk to your local compliance person. Just explain to us, why the person would be the perfect next “NKG Integrity Champion”. We will be very happy to announce further champions in the next INSIDE NKG MAG. And no worries – we will of course only publish the article with the consent of the person nominated!
“An authentic corporate culture based on values that are lived out within the company is key for business success.” Keen readers of the INSIDE NKG MAG (formerly known as NKG Connected, that’s why we use it here) could go back into the archives and find this sentence in the NKG Connected No. 31, a Special Issue on the launch of our NKG Integrity Initiative. This was back in 2017, and a lot has happened since then. For example, newer colleagues might wonder: What’s the Integrity Initiative? Don’t worry, you didn’t miss an important memo – the Integrity Initiative is actually a bit of a “legacy program” at this point, which has served its purpose very well and is no longer needed after achieving the goal of formalizing and anchoring NKG’s values and commitment to integrity. As a part of it, we released the first NKG Code of Conduct and Compliance Guidelines, and opened our Integrity Reporting channels in 2017.
In the next NKG Connected issue in 2018, we introduced our very first Integrity Champion – both to honor a great colleague, and to keep open the conversation around our still new Code of Conduct and its core messages. Five years later, it is hard to imagine our group without the (since updated) NKG Code of Conduct at the core, but we have chosen to keep the Integrity Champion nomination going, to showcase how our values are upheld and lived by our colleagues around the globe.

Communications changes as fast as the world around us – new topics and new requirements emerge and lead to changes in the department, so that we are able to live up to the challenges.

Striving to promote a more diverse and inclusive work environment, where everyone can thrive, we would like to introduce you to two women, who have made significant contributions in their respective fields: Anna Fath, NG Coaching, and Juliet A. De Paula Botelho, Mill Operator at NKG Stockler.

At the end of this year, we will be saying goodbye to two Managing Directors who have made outstanding contributions to the well-being and success of their companies and NKG as a whole over the past few years. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them once again on their achievements and wish them all the best for the future! Thank you, José Luis García and Fabio Frontani.
