NKG Integrity Champion:

Thumbs up for reliable colleagues

In this issue, please join us in congratulating Alexandre Ferraz for his outstanding commitment to fairness, respect and team spirit in all parts of his life. Alexandre has been with NKG since 2008, when he joined the team at NKG Stockler, and took a big step in 2021 by relocating to Hamburg and joining the team at Bernhard Rothfos as a Senior Trader. He is celebrated by colleagues from all over the group!

Here's what his colleagues say:

A brief history of NKG Integrity Champions

“An authentic corporate culture based on values that are lived out within the company is key for business success.” Keen readers of the NKG Connected could go back into the archives and find this sentence in the NKG Connected No. 31, a Special Issue on the launch of our NKG Integrity Initiative. This was back in 2017, and a lot has happened since then. For example, newer colleagues might wonder: What’s the Integrity Initiative? Don’t worry, you didn’t miss an important memo – the Integrity Initiative is actually a bit of a “legacy program” at this point, which has served its purpose very well and is no longer needed after achieving the goal of formalizing and anchoring NKG’s values and commitment to integrity. As a part of it, we released the first NKG Code of Conduct and Compliance Guidelines, and opened our Integrity Reporting channels in 2017.

In the next NKG Connected issue in 2018, we introduced our very first Integrity Champion – both to honor a great colleague, and to keep open the conversation around our still new Code of Conduct and its core messages. Five years later, it is hard to imagine our group without the (since updated) NKG Code of Conduct at the core, but we have chosen to keep the Integrity Champion nomination going, to showcase how our values are upheld and lived by our colleagues around the globe.

Who is the next “NKG Integrity Champion”?

You have a great colleague, who is very upright and doing an excellent job? Please do not hesitate to let us know, we would love to hear about it! You can either nominate your colleague writing an e-mail to compliance@nkg.coffee or talk to your local compliance person. Just explain to us, why the person would be the perfect next “NKG Integrity Champion”. We will be very happy to announce further champions in the next NKG Connected issues. And no worries – we will of course only publish the article with the consent of the person nominated!

Interview with Gökhan Kücük

Gökhan Kücük became part of NKG a little more than a year ago as a Senior Controller at Neumann Gruppe Hamburg. Coffee for him was not really a “love at first sip”, but the strong Turkish Mocca Gökhan tried from his parents nevertheless initiated his passion for our product. Here at NKG, he especially likes the supportive environment and the openness from all colleagues around him.
