Mail from NG Comms

Hello dear MAG-readers

I hope this new issue of our INSIDE NKG MAG finds you well!

I do have to admit that in some inattentive moments the term “Connected” still crosses my lips – but, thankfully, my absolutely not inattentive Comms team colleagues always recognize it and correct me immediately! 😉 And I think I might not be the only person taking some time to get used to changes. Adapting to new wordings, circumstances, or even something as complex as our lived culture at NKG is a process, and we will do our best to accompany any changes happening as good as we possibly can.

This issue is dedicated to the exchange of ideas and perspectives from our group companies, helping us all to get inspiration and motivation from seeing local approaches that work. It was especially a pleasure to read the articles written by my Comms colleagues Intan, Michelle and Agnieszka – it would simply not be possible for us at NG Comms in Hamburg to get the same insights our colleagues get. Clearly, we all have a different point of view and especially in communication, we benefit a lot from others taking over and sharing their views with us. I hope that you also enjoy reading their articles and that you maybe have one or two new thoughts to take with you. We at NG Comms believe it is invaluable to get direct input from our group companies and share them here with you.

What else has happened since our last MAG in December? A lot! One of my personal highlights was the publication of our very first Social Media Guidelines, which you can now find in the INSIDE NKG HUB! As a hint for you: we are currently working on the translations and will of course let you know as soon as we finish them. Our Social Media Guidelines include lots of interesting tips and will help all of you navigate safely through Social Media. One very important topic we tackle is for example: Where and how are you using Social Media officially and in which context as a private person?

Another great project coming soon: our NKG Sustainability Report 2024! Stay tuned for more information. We will of course let you know when it is published. It is definitely going to be an interesting read as well!

It's your turn

So, what are you up to right now? What was the best thing that happened to you lately? To give you one example, you can read the PS in this article, where I share one of my favorite stories from the past weeks. 😊 If you would also like to share your experience with us, please do feel free and write it right down here:

We can’t wait to hear your fun/exciting/happy stories!

Have a fantastic and successful rest of the year. We at NG Comms are already looking forward to many more exciting things coming up – and we will of course update you in our next issue of the INSIDE NKG MAG!

Best wishes from Hamburg

Julia Wichert

PS: There is absolutely nothing wrong with spreading some positivity in your daily conversations, right? When I was having lunch with a lovely colleague some weeks ago, he asked me the following question: “What was the best experience you had lately?” I personally was surprised how good it felt to just think about this question, realizing that there were many things I felt grateful for and many situations I enjoyed. Talking about the positive things I came up with really made my day and left me with such a great feeling that I wanted to share the idea with you. So, maybe some of you remember this question and use it for your next lunch date, too! 😊

PPS: The picture this time shows us at this year’s summer party! Stay tuned for our next picture – we have another fun team event coming up …
