Marcelo de Paula Nogueira was born in Varginha, in the southern region of Minas Gerais state, an area full of coffee farms – so he grew up seeing coffee everywhere! Though being surrounded by coffee all the time, he never imagined that one day he would work in this business. However, since starting his job at NKG Stockler in 2022, Marcelo is glad to work with a product that he personally enjoys and that is part of the history of the region he belongs to. Marcelo first held the position of Head of Human Resources, taking over the HR department of Fazenda da Lagoa two months later as well. By the end of 2022, Marcelo was invited to take over the HR departments of SKN Caribecafé and Coinca, so in 2023, his role transitioned to Head of HR for Latin America, supporting the group companies in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. What does he like most about working at NKG and with his team? “I appreciate the friendliness, commitment, and collaboration”, he says. And would he like to swap jobs with anyone else at NKG? Apparently not: “I never thought about it … I really enjoy HR, so I wouldn’t trade it for another role.”
