IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Behind the scenes
Faces and portraits
I love travelling out of the city for short stays with family and friends.
Cycling, a hobby I developed in my childhood.
I am a shopaholic. I find myself buying an extra suitcase every time I travel.
I love dancing to African music.
I love taking pictures; how could I forget this 😊
A perfect weekend for me would be a spontaneous one, nothing planned. It could be a drive out of the city, game drive, shopping with family, an afternoon lunch or dinner with friends or just lazing around the house with a book or a movie.
I am always ready to pack and go.
My recent trip to the HQ – Hamburg in February 2023. This trip brought the ideology of NKG closer home. Through this trip I was able to interact with the team that would normally interact with the faces behind the kind regards and best wishes.
I enjoy iced coffee with some little honey while traveling especially if I have a connecting flight. At every airport I get an iced coffee.
What makes you laugh a lot
Human Resources as a profession and career can be tough at times. Who is HR for HR? What most people don’t realise is that HR needs HR for themselves. My HR colleagues create a fun environment, we laugh a lot and that keeps me going. I sometimes crack jokes and laugh at them alone 😊. There’s enough going on in our world to make us all feel sad so I try to find the small things in life that make me laugh. Mr. Bean, Modern Family and Lion King are some of the TV shows and movies that I enjoy watching. I love memes too.
Do you have any hidden skill nobody expects you to have?
I guess in my other world I could be a pro cyclist. I can ride a bicycle pretty well. I can also cook well and with some consistency I could become a chef. I have tried modelling too, in campus days. So I guess there is some of that in me too. And I can change a car tire if my life depended on it. I am also skilled at driving. I was recently awarded for safe car parking at work during the NKG Awareness Day 2023.
If you could be any fictional character for a week, who would it be and what adventures would you have?
That would be Spiderman my favorite superhero. I would take the same the leap of faith from the highest building just to have a feel of it. Watch cities from the highest point, taking beautiful pictures while swinging from building to building.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and who gave it to you?
“Pay the price. Constantly improve. Over deliver on your promises. Raise your work ethic and you’ll raise your standards. Raise your standards and success becomes inevitable” by Sharon Kotut – a former colleague and great mentor.

Communications changes as fast as the world around us – new topics and new requirements emerge and lead to changes in the department, so that we are able to live up to the challenges.
