2024

Fabio will support the company in the position of President as a part of the Board of NKG Bero Italia.

Diana, Ennio and Uberto, who joined Bero Italia since the beginning describe Fabio’s career:

“The initial periods were tough; the team was small, and there was an immense amount of work. No matter how early we arrived, he was always there before us, the first to arrive and the last to leave. Month after month, new colleagues joined, and the results began pouring in: better than the previous year every time. From 800,000 bags to a million, then a million and two, then one and a half, finally one point eight. The number of clients grew accordingly: fifty, a hundred, two hundred, over four hundred…

Over these years, Fabio has led this company as if it were his own, caring for every small detail, maintaining a clear direction to follow, and unwavering determination to achieve all the goals he set. COVID or the various disruptions in recent years did not shake him, but driven by an unparalleled customer focus and an inexhaustible passion, he has guided NKG Bero Italia to become the reference company in the Italian market, with a solid reputation for seriousness and reliability. But if you were to ask him about his greatest achievement, he would undoubtedly not list any of his many professional successes. With a smile, he would answer, “Building a united and enthusiastic team of professionals passionate about our wonderful product, coffee.”

José Luis García, COPROCAFÉ

“The history of José Luis García and Coprocafé in the world of coffee has been linked since 1981.

Its beginnings coincide with the liberalization of the green coffee trade in Spain. The more than four decades since have brought challenges that they have faced, successfully overcoming them, thanks to always having the best team of professionals and a management that knows how to always adapt to the evolution of the market.

Within these challenges, which have not been few, the company has experienced key moments such as;

The change in the structure of the coffee industry caused by a concentration process, as well as the loss of business volume motivated by the departure of large multinationals from the Spanish market and which caused the company’s expansion into the Portuguese market. The success achieved in the Spanish and Portuguese markets promoted their collaboration in the change of business model of the Italian market.

In this context, his resume has the privilege of having been an active part of the management bodies of ANCAFE (today AEcafe) representing Coprocafe, being part of the process of adaptation of the Spanish market to the international coffee trade.

At the international level he has held the position of president of CECA (Committee of the European Coffee Associations), an organization that gave him prestige outside the national sphere, giving him the possibility of projecting Coprocafe at a European level.

The professionalism and dedication of Jose Luis Garcia has resulted in an extremely successful professional career.

The best thing about having worked with JLG is that he constantly pushes you to learn and improve you professional skills, his inspiring self-demand, wisdom and knowledge of this business, along with his refined ability and negotiation skills together with his attention to detail and never taking his mind off the business, is something that makes him very special.

At 68 years old he has still been at the trading desk where the action is while maintaining the responsibility of a CEO. How many are there like him?”
