The inaugural Partners in the Neumann Kaffee Gruppe Partnership to Advance Coffee Equity (NKG PACE) began their one-year educational journeys May 2, with an intensive orientation week. Things have hardly slowed down since.
The Russian war of aggression on Ukraine shocks us on a human level, but of course also has implications for the economy and thus for NKG’s business. These effects hit us both directly and indirectly, and sometimes include unexpected aspects. We asked three colleagues what impacts they perceive from their perspective and, of course, how we as a Group can respond to them best.
A shared commitment to improving the quality of the Robusta coffee: The Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) Q Processing 2 Team visited NKG’s Kaweri Coffee Plantation as one of the main training sponsors and partners in June 2022 to run a Robusta instructors course. Joined by our colleagues from NKG Quality Service, international coffee experts were trying out lessons and activities in a workshop format.
