Neumann Gruppe in Hamburg consists of departments with a diverse variety of functions and competencies, which both serve the general strategic orientation of NKG and provide specific support for the group companies. In our INSIDE NKG MAG, we want to look at what competencies exist in the holding company, for whom these could be helpful and interesting, who is responsible for what, and a lot more. In this issue we would like to introduce the Legal Department of Neumann Gruppe.
In the ever-evolving coffee world, diversity is a driving force behind innovation, inclusivity, and empowerment. At NKG, we recognize the invaluable contributions of our female colleagues and all women along the coffee supply chain. From Latin America to Africa, from Asia to Europe: women play a pivotal role in shaping the future of coffee. Diverse teams bring a wealth of perspectives, experiences, and ideas to the table, fueling innovation and driving better decision-making across our global group of companies.
The EU Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR) aims to minimize the EU’s contribution to global deforestation, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and global biodiversity loss. Commodities included are cattle, cocoa, oil palm, rubber, soya, wood and coffee. Coffee is a crop that is extremely sensitive to weather conditions. The political stability and calm in Germany have always provided Neumann Gruppe, and thus also NKG, with the right framework conditions to operate our business solid and reliable in the past and also created a peaceful personal and family environment for many employees.
Unfortunately, anti-democratic forces are present, loud and active in a way that many of us (perhaps naively) could not and would not have imagined years ago.

We have highlighted the benefits of global networking for all of us and talked about opportunities and limitations of AI for our business.
